Farm Camp Minnesota is an annual event that is a collaboration of farmers and agribusinesses to provide a fun and interactive learning experience for children entering grades three to six.

The event is aimed at providing children with a closer connection with the modern agriculture industry.

For this year, there will be Farm Camp Minnesota events at the following locations:

-August 7-8: Farm Camp Minnesota will be held in the Waseca area at FarmAmerica

-August 15: St. Cloud area near Rice, Minnesota at the Schmitt Family Farm

-August 16: Northfield area near Dundas, Minnesota at Wolf Creek Dairy.

All three events will be held from 9 am to 3 pm and at each event, the participants – known as campers - will participate in breakout sessions where they will get a hands-on experience learning about corn, soybeans, swine, dairy, beef, poultry, pollinators, vegetables, and farm equipment.

At the event at FarmAmerica in Waseca, campers will have a bonus opportunity to tour Guardian Energy to learn about the several different components of ethanol production such as incoming grain grading, grain handling, grain storage, liquefaction, fermentation, distillation, distiller grain drying, corn oil separation, control room operations, lab room studies, product storage and product shipment.

We are particularly looking forward to engaging with the campers and educating them on homegrown renewable energy.

Early Bird Registration Deadline is June 16 at $15 per camper, which includes lunch, snacks, a free t-shirt and a fun bag to take home After June 16, registration increases to $25 per camper with event registration ending July 21.
