In addition, the Department of Commerce has revised upwards the volumes for May, June and July.
In May, the Department said 10.01 million gallons of E15 was sold instead of 9.8 million gallons as previously reported while the volumes in June and July were revised to 9.99 million gallons and 10.05 million gallons from 9.73 million gallons and 9.84 million gallons respectively.
In all, monthly E15 sales in Minnesota exceeded 10 million gallons three times this year. In 2022, it exceeded the 10-million-gallon mark only once - 10.07 million gallons in October.
On a year-on-year comparison, the volume sold in August this year was 7.12 percent higher than the 9.54 million gallons sold in August 2022.
In total, 77.07 million gallons of E15 have been sold in Minnesota from January to August this year, 15.13 percent higher than the 66.94 million gallons recorded over the same period in 2022.
